Itinerary 7

5 Days, ex Christchurch return

Note that all activities are optional and we do not make you do any activities that you are not comfortable with. All activities are included in the trip price but no refunds are given if you decide not to do something. We do encourage you to have a go at everything and will help you achieve them.

Day 1

• Depart Christchurch and travel by coach to Jacksons.
• Barbeque lunch and 4x4 Unimog ride into river.
• Accommodation Bush Camp (DBL).

Day 2

• Rainforest Study Day. Includes aspects of bushcraft, survival skills, rainforest ecology, plant adaptations, world carbon bank and environmental preservation & use.
• Accommodation Bush Camp (DBBrL).

Day 3

• Whitewater Rafting Adventure this morning. Cross the Alpine Fault Line as you raft through this magnificent gorge country.
• Coach to Greymouth
• Beach bonfire and barbeque this evening.
• Accommodation: Greymouth Hostel. (DBBrL)

Day 4

• Dragons Cave Rafting Adventure finishing with a hot spa. A fun way to learn about one of natures unique life cycles, the New Zealand glow-worm.
• Jade Boulder Gallery. See here the results of some tectonic plate theory from the Alpine faultline we rafted through earlier in your tour. Greenstone carvers can also be viewed here.
• Shantytown & Dinner.
• Accommodation: Greymouth Hostel. (DBBrL)

Day 5

• 9:00 AM Coach to Christchurch.
• 1:00 PM Educational visit to Antarctic Centre. Fly out. (BrL)

Prices:

All prices include GST, our staffing supervision, risk management, transport, all equipment, sleeping bags where required, specified meals and accommodation.

Cancellations: Tours paid for and cancelled within 30 days of or during travel will not be refunded under any circumstances. We recommend you have travel insurance & can arrange this for you.
