Based around the Hanmer Springs Thermal Resort area you can do the following highlights:

• Snowball challenge at the Antarctic Centre
• Overnight on a High Country Sheep Station

Note: That all activities are optional and we do not make you do any activities that you are not comfortable with. All activities are included in the trip price but no refunds are given if you decide not to do something. We do encourage you to have a go at everything and will help you achieve them.

Day 1
Arrive Christchurch Airport and take a visit to the Antarctic Centre. See how the Scott Base scientists survive on the ice.Take a challenge in the snow room and experience a blizard from the Deep South! You will then travel by coach to a High Country Sheep Station where we will overnight. Accom. Esk Head Sheep And Cattle Station.

Day 2
OK farmers! This morning we are up for a hearty farm breakfast before we are off with the sheep station staff and their dogs to round up the sheep and do some shearing, cruthching and tailing. You will ride an Alpine Country horse and see how you get on controlling the dogs. Can you get that mob of 800 sheep down the hill, through that gate and into the yards? We will work as a team to make sure that none get away on you! They all have to be cruthched and drenched. But hey! Its not all work on the farm! There will be a chance for a swim (no you will not have to get in with the sheep!) and have a go at sliding a scree mountain. Once we've got the sheep sorted out we are off to the Hanmer Springs Thermal Resort Fun Park. Relax in the heated pools and ride the hydroslide in this Mountain Resort. Accom. Day 3
An action day of abseiling, rock climbing, and a jetboat Action Thriller. Take a personal challenge to defy gravity under the guidance of a Rock Instructor before joining your team again for an exhillarating jetboat adventure. Finish your day of challenges back in the relaxation of the hotpools. (or ride the hydroslide again if you still have the energy!) Accom. Holiday Park Hanmer Springs.

Day 4
Today we start an easy overnight hike in the Lewis Pass area. The magical scenery of Mountain Peaks will surround us but we do not have to climb any of them! We will overnight at a DOC lodge on the track. Bring your cmera for some great photographs. Accom. Bush Camp Hut.

Day 5
Walk out from our trek and drive on to our White Water Rafting Lodge to get ready for tomorrow.

Day 6
Ride the waves of an Alpine River for a roller coaster adventure amoungst the white water. Join an adventure raft for the thrillseekers or take an easier ride with a softer raft. The choice is yours for a great day of whitewater rafting fun with a finish back at the hotpools.. Accom. Hanmer Springs.

Day 7
Travel by coach back to the City of Christchurch. This afternoon we will either visit the Science Alive exhibition where there are some fun challenges or ride the Christchurch Tram for a Tour of the City. (depends on the weather). Fly home.

All prices include GST, our staffing supervision, risk management, transport, all equipment, sleeping bags where required, specified meals and accommodation.

Cancellations: Tours paid for and cancelled within 30 days of or during travel will not be refunded under any circumstances. We recommend you have travel insurance & can arrange this for you.

Your Wild West Adventure Company Guides are experienced Outdoor Instructors and they may alter the programme or its order in consultation with you to suit the greatest number of tour group members or to accommodate weather conditions on the day. For example a nearby easier rafting river maybe used if the group is assessed for their safety and enjoyment as more suiting a different river. All activities will be participated in but the intensity level may vary from group to group due to the above factors.
